Eddy is also very active in Community/Social Service. He is currently the Past President of the Lions Club of Curepipe which is affiliated with the Lions Club International (LCI) whose motto is “We Serve”. He is a District Trainer and have also served the club on various official posts. He was the Club President in 2008/09, the Club Secretary in 2006/08, the Club Vice President in 2007/08. Lions Eddy has received various distinguished awards including but not limited to President’s Award, 100% Secretary, Membership Key and Excellance Award. He is still an active member of the club serving the community.
Eddy has also been the Past President of the Port Louis Toastmasters Club which is affiliated with Toastmasters International, a non-profit organisation that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of meeting locations. He has served various official posts. He has received various awards including the Speech Contest award, Table Topic award and has been twice awarded the Toastmasters of the Year. Toastmaster Eddy has completed the whole Leadership Programme and has been awarded the Advanced Leadership Silver (ALS) award. Toastmaster Eddy is also undergoing his Advanced Communication Bronze (ATM-B).
Eddy is also helping the Mauritian Chinese Community by promoting the Chinese Business Chamber. He is the current Secretary of the Chamber and was actively involved since 2009.
In addition to the above, as alumni, Eddy also helps the St Joseph’s Old Boys as well as the Mauritian Bristol Alumnis.
On part time basis, Eddy is also a Property Promoter and Developer. Contact him for ongoing projects.
